CIDESCO Online Beauty & Spa Management

The Beauty & Spa Management Diploma equips beauty professionals with the managerial skills they need to successfully run a spa, salon or other beauty business. The course is designed to teach a comprehensive understanding of the best practices in spa and salon management, covering such topics as operational management, leadership, professional development, marketing, customer relations, human resources and finance.

In addition to traditional business subjects, the course will cover beauty industry specific topics like trends in new spa services, emerging spa equipment technologies, and beauty product inventory control. Throughout the 15-week course students will progressively create a business plan using what they learn in class. By the end of the course, students will have enough confidence to start their own businesses, or work in managerial roles in the beauty business. No prior training is required to take the course, though some understanding of the beauty and spa industry, either through experience or study, is an advantage because it helps fit the business knowledge learned into a practical context. Students need access to a computer and are responsible for getting their course textbook. A weekly Zoom meeting with a teacher is required.
